Laminated Security Glass

Laminated security glass is manufactured by bonding together multiple layers of float glass under heat and pressure with an interlayer of polyvinyl butryal (PVB). In a security attack the PVB interlayer allows the glass to absorb the impact energy whilst maintaining the integrity of the glass.  Constructions vary according to performance requirements, and compositions can include polycarbonate layers either sandwiched within between glass outer panes for physical attack resistance or bonded to the secure side of bullet resistant no spall products. Laminated security glass has numerous functions including resistance to bulle , blast, physical attack and Fire .
