Security Counters and Screens 

Architectural Armour management have over 30 years experience of manufacturing physical attack and bullet resistant security counters and screens.  In that  time  we saw the trend of removing screens as banks , building societies and other cash handlers adopted an open plan desk to appear more customer friendly, recently that trend has been reversed with the re introduction of security counters and screens in many cities.  We have supplied screens to a diverse range of sectors including banks, building societies, credit unions , stadiums, consulates, jewellers, transport interchanges, secure receptions and many more.

Wether you requirement is just the screens or the whole counter and screen,  internal or external, physical attack, bullet resistant, blast or all three we are confident our UK manufactured security counters and screens will enable staff to safely and efficiently transact with customers and meet your security requirements.  We offer a design, manufacture and installation service, and by listening to our customers individual requirements we are able to provide bespoke counter and screen arrangements that meet your security needs.  To compliment our screens we offer a range of cash trays, scoops and transfer units.

Bullet Resistant

Ballistic glazing options include handgun specifications  BS EN1063; BR2, BR3, BR4, Rifle specifications BR5 & BR6 and Shot Gun SG1 & SG2 all of which are designed to meet the test classification in the table below.  Our Bullet Resistant Security Screens have been independently tested and certified to comply with both framing specification BS EN1522 and glazing specification. 

Physical Attack 

Physical attack resistant security screens are available with certified glazing options, which include BS EN 356 , P6B, P7B & P8B in both all glass and glass polycarbonate configurations. 

Blast Resistant 

Blast resistant screens options are available subject to site conditions, to acheive a blast rating the screens need to be tied into the buildings structure.

Fire resistant 

Fire resistant screens are an option. The need for transactions  to take place by nature requiring a pass through, usually by cash scoops, trays or drawers causes some issues. Yet fire tested bullet resitant trays have be accepted in fire screen systems we have installed.

BULLET RESISTANT SCREENS 

Our Bullet Resistant Security Screens have been independently tested and certified to comply with both framing specification BS EN1522 and glazing specification BS EN1063. 

Glazing

Ballistic glazing options include Spall Allowed and No Spall, for external applications they can be incorporated intro a DGU for thermal efficiency.  Each Security Screen is manufactured to meet the test classification in the table below.

All frames are bespoke made to customer requirements, available in satin stainless steel or polyester powder coated to a RAL colour of your choice.

PHYSICAL ATTACK RESISTANT SCREENS

Physical attack resistant security screens are available with certified glazing options, which include BS EN 356 & LPS 1270 in both all glass and glass polycarbonate configurations.

Glazing

Popular Attack resistant glazing options are EN356 higher resistance levels, P6B, P7B and P8B.  All of which are manufactured to withstand a specified number of mechanically delivered blows from a Sledgehammer & Axe.

Frames

Like the bullet resistant versions all frames are bespoke made to customer requirements, available in satin stainless steel or polyester powder coated  to a RAL colour of your choice.  Unlike the bullet resistant screens the attack resistant frames can incorporate open speech apertures in the mullions to allow a natural speech path between secure and attack face .
