Architectural Armour were commissioned to provide ballistic resistant products for a new armoury at an International Airport. Located in a multi story facility with offices above below and to the sides, the first concern was accidental discharge penetrating the walls , floor and ceilings, this was achieved by lining all surfaces with our bullet boards and manufacturing bullet resistant doors. The armed officers are issued with, and return their weapons and ammunition to the armourer at a bullet resistant counter and screen. There was a specific request for bespoke bullet resistant transfer trays let into the counter through which to transfer the guns and ammunition without damaging them, Architectural Armour achieved this by lining the ballistic grade steel components with Linatex, a high performance rubber we have previously used in CQB shooting and kill house training buildings.
